03 / A DISTINCT PREPAID PROGRAMME
A defined balance. A considered design.
An exploratory prepaid-card concept with biometric verification, subject to an appropriately authorised programme and its permitted uses.

Where the money would come from.
A prepaid transaction would use funds held under the authorised programme’s rules. Loading, spending, transfer and redemption permissions depend on the final product and KYC category.
A proposed payment, step by step.

One companion app. Issuer-led controls.
The app is planned to show card status, supported card controls and transaction alerts through issuer-approved integrations. The card would communicate with the payment terminal; the app would not replace the issuer’s authorisation. A fingerprint check is not a guarantee against fraud or loss.
What must be confirmed first.
A prepaid card is not automatically a bank account, a deposit product or a credit facility. No loading, withdrawal, interoperability, interest or protection benefit is promised. Programme terms must be confirmed first.
Sensor hardware, secure enrolment, local template storage, payment-network certification and issuer support remain to be validated. Ordinary cards cannot gain an on-card fingerprint sensor through an app update.
